THE BiRDdOGS

Ever since Nugent wrapped his pelted nethers 'round an ugly old broad named politics and started baiting trot lines for Vegetarians in lieu of actually fkn rawking, iggy Pop was found rehashing 1969 (and thank God somebody is) while living in Miami, Bobby "Come to Papa" Seger turned babysitter, and even Kid Rock went kranky divorcee kountry, the Great State of Michigan has been sorely needin' The Rock and Roll. Oh sure sqeaky voiced manchild Jack White and his gal pal Meg and some of their lil' D-troit pals hunker down now and again and rock the basement like they really mean it but hell...is it really frkn heavy enuff? Hellfire Jack married a L.A. model as tall as an amazon on the Amazon river and Meg wigged out and moved to L.A. so how can one expect them to actually rawk? But I digress. Right now the best damn band (in my far less than humble opinion)to rep the glorious moss-backed north woods of Michigan is The BirdDogs. Hailing from somewheres btween Pontiac and Detroit this is burly hairyassed music played by burly hairyassed dudes who'd go coon huntin' with T-Model Ford and Rankin' Jeffrey Lee Pierce down in the dark muddy swamps of Hamtramck for Mitch Ryder and Sky Saxon one night with a Paczki in one hand and Gibson SG in the other then shoot the sht about poetry with the ghost of Jim Morrison's old lady the next. The Birddogs is bringin' the EViL back. And I'm not talkin' about that lying, decieving and backbiting evil. I'm talkin' about the burly dirty down in the bunker sexbeat. EVOL. Like some kind of un-tie-dyed and flannel flag flyin' backwoods bearded Hill Country Led Zep chasin' Leslie West back up his Mountain they are a tree climbin' mud encrusted boot and axe handle to be reckoned with.
