There's isn't lot of info out there on Ramona Hicks (aka Lillie Mae Kirkman). I may not have ever heard of her if I hadn't picked up a a cd called Swingin' The Blues on a whim. This album, on the Document label, is available from Document HERE or you can buy more Ramona Hicks tracks at Amazon. I just dig this track. It's weird. and weirder still for some reason I always think of The Black Diamond Heavies when I hear it, which makes no sense at all. So this song is dedicated to them.
