A.W. Cardinal grew up in the rural and staggeringly beautiful surrounds of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada and now calls Toronto home. Performing primarily as a duo with bassist/etc Jasmine Collette, Mr. Cardinal combines elements of the early jazz stylings of Django Reinhardt and Eddie Lang with the blues of folks like Skip James and Blind Willie McTell. It's a fresh sound that I hope to hear a lot more of.
